GRAD NIGHT STAFFING ROLES
Calling all Senior Parents!
There will be four shifts for several volunteer roles.
- 1st Shift: 9:45pm to 12:15am
- 2nd Shift: 12:00am to 2:30am
- 3rd Shift: 2:15am to 4:45am
- Grand Finale: 2:15am to 5:30am
When you are signing up for a volunteer role, please choose the shift that you want.
GAMES/ACTIVITIES MONITORS
Keeping things moving, organized and fun!
9 Square in the Air: Monitor the flow of students and be familiar with the rules of 9 Square in the Air (See how to play 9 Square in the Air HERE). Make sure students do not leave with equipment balls.
Table Games: Monitor the flow of students playing these games to ensure maximum participation. Be sure students leave all equipment with the games (balls, sticks, pucks, etc). Games include: Billiards, Foosball & Air Hockey.
Tan Bark Games: Monitor the flow of students playing these games to ensure maximum participation. Also, keep the games organized and set up for next participants. Games include: Double Pop-A-Shot, Connect 4, Corn Hole & Giant Jenga.
Mystics/Tarot Card Reading: Monitor waitlist and ensure flow of students through the activity. Parent volunteers who sign up need to be comfortable texting waitlisted students on their personal device at these popular activity locations.
Airbrush Tattoo: Monitor waitlist and ensure flow of students through the activity. Parent volunteers who sign up need to be comfortable texting waitlisted students on their personal device at these popular activity locations.
Sparkle Bar: Work in sparkle bar area to assist with hair tinsel application (experience in hair tinsel desired). When not busy, please monitor the entire lounge area (Dance Room).
Arcade: Help ensure the indoor arcade is running efficiently, students moving along after playing games to maximize participation. Games include: PacMan, Skee Ball & Pinball.
Lounge/Main Stage: Ensure lounge area is monitored, check on the needs of the DJ /karaoke & hypnotist.
Senior Museum Docent: Welcome students to the Museum, help them locate their Board and engage in various activities in the Museum. The last shift will also involve the initial dismantling of the panels.
SUPPORT STAFF
Keeping people moving, organized and in the right place!
Traffic Control Staff: Help direct traffic, ensure that students are dropped off in a safe and organized manner. We strongly recommend that Graduates get rides to Grad Night. Student drivers will be instructed to park in the Junior Lot.
Student Check-in: Greet and check in students using the Pinwheel event platform at the Student Entrance. Desk agents must bring their own MAC or PC laptop and power charger to the event. Please do not sign up for this role if that is an issue.
Vendor/Volunteer Check-In: Check in volunteers and vendors using our Pinwheel event platform. All adults entering our event space must have the appropriate credentials and must be checked in. They will also help inform vendors and volunteers with where to go. Desk Agents must bring their own MAC or PC laptop and power charger to the event. Please do not sign up for this role if that is an issue.
Coat Check: Collect and tag student personal belongings and store them in the coat check at the beginning of the night. From 4am on, coat check staff will return personal belongings to students when they depart the event.
First Aid Assistant: Assistant will help our First Aid Lead to ensure the health and safety of our students.
Roamers: Keep things running smoothly by ensuring the assigned area does not have overflowing trash, that supplies are stocked, and movies or TV programs are at appropriate sound levels, etc. You will also relieve other volunteers as needed if they need a quick break.
Exit Support Staff: Check out any student who needs to leave early.
CASINO STAFF
Keeping the chips flowing, cards dealt, and roulette spinning!
Casino Staff: Responsible for distributing and cashing in casino tokens.
Casino Dealers: A limited number of casino blackjack, poker, and roulette deal positions are needed for volunteers with experience/knowledge of the games.
Casino Floaters: Float and help in the casino as needed.
Raffle Support: Run the hourly raffle draws and ensure winners are announced by the DJ.
MONITORS & SECURITY
Keeping everyone secure, safe and in the right place!
Security: Monitor the event from stations inside our event perimeter to ensure our LGHS students stay safely inside the party while keeping other curious lookie-loos outside the party.
Chill Lounge: Monitor the Theater & Lounge area (no access to girls locker rooms, monitor cozy spaces for appropriateness, ensure slideshow is on loop).
Main Entrance & Restroom: Monitor the main restrooms for the venue / also monitor the main entrance - no leaving the venue via the main entrance and no re-entry allowed after 4am.
Main Gym Door: Monitor the NE Corner of Main Gym Door - No leaving the main gym via this entrance after 2:30am.
